Redmine eXtplorer - PHP-based File Manager - eXtplorer & Joomla!: RE: eXtplorer 2.1.5http://extplorer.net/boards/2/topics/71?r=72#message-722013-12-21T15:22:21ZMark Stantonmark@vowleyfarm.co.uk

To add the information I should've written before (sorry).

I'm trying to install it into a Joomla 2.5 site.
I then tried renaming the two com_extplorer directories, this also failed (even worse than before, but still gave the eXtplorer "success" message").
eXtplorer - PHP-based File Manager - eXtplorer & Joomla!: eXtplorer 2.1.5http://extplorer.net/boards/2/topics/712013-12-21T15:11:58ZMark Stantonmark@vowleyfarm.co.uk

I've just tried to upgrade to this version and installation failed, complaining that something else is already using that directory. Yes, of course it is, my older version...

Confusingly, although I get two system messages reporting failure to install, I also get the eXtplorer "Installation succeeded" message.

Sounds like a bug to me :)

Also, I'm seeing many warnings reported. Mostly about preg_replace being deprecated, but also about calling non-static methods statically. Would a list be helpful?
eXtplorer - PHP-based File Manager - eXtplorer & Joomla!: Nice component, but...http://extplorer.net/boards/2/topics/42012-10-02T13:41:03ZMark Stantonmark@vowleyfarm.co.uk

1) It looks a bit quiet here

2) Registering on this website requires clicking the activation link emailed to me.
I had to guess that this was the problem though, because there's no message telling me that when I register.

Finally, eXtplorer looks nice on J! 2,5. It works "out of the box" on a hosted domain, but on my local development environment it shows me no files or directories, leaving me with nothing to do.

What can I have set wrong on the server such that eXtplorer shows no files?

Regards
Mark
