"Security token not valid" error in Extplorer, when trying to move or delete files

Added by Magh S 5 months ago

After some Joomla upgrades, not sure which ones, Extplorer no longer moves or deletes files. It used to work alright before. Any idea how this can be fixed?

(Running latest Joomla version, with PHP 7.1.24, and Extplorer 2.1.12)

I just tested it on a PHP 7.2.10 installation in Joomla 3.9.3 - and it works as it should. Did your webhost change anything else on the server?

No idea. It's paid hosting, and in general quite good. I'll try to uninstall Extplorer and install it again, and get back to you.

Still the same problem. I used Akeeba Admin Tools to purge sessions table, cleanded tmp, and emptied cache in Joomla before the new install.

Extplorer, however, seems to retain some previous configuration after the new install, e.g. when I opened it, instead of going to the site root, it goes to the folder used in a previous session. Is it possible to remove all these remains, and start with a clean install?

In your browser please open the developer console by pressing F12 and then click on the "network" tab. Now please try to delete a file in eXtplorer and send the request and response details please (click on "index.php" and copy Headers and Response). Please don't post private details such as path or detailled URL with FQDN here.
