eXtplorer - PHP-based File Manager

Hi!
I'm running lighty over https and I experience this exact problem

Login works ok but then the main (right) pane gets stuck in 'Loading'.

I just want to ask if this setup should work or not?

I've issued my own server cert so I get the red url bar, untrusted CA, but
https works fine after dismissing the warning.

Lighttpd is configured with:
server.port = 8081
ssl.engine = "enable"

I get the impression that some http gets are done. But http is (should be) disabled in my setup.

lighttpd 1.4.32, php 5.2.17, ie 9.0.8112.
