JSON Decode Error since update to version 2.1.8

I am no longer able to edit any files in extplorer since update to 2.1.8. I get an error popup JSON Decode Error: dialog is undefined. I tested the same with a site at 2.1.7 and it works fine. It must be this version.

A message for other users with this problem. I uninstalled completely and then reinstalled the component and it is working fine now. Not sure if a corrupt install somewhere as the program was able to view, just not open files. It is working now ok on 2.1.8.
