eXtplorer - PHP-based File Manager

i ha a problem with rc5
as you can see no files or folders are shown

joomla 1.7 fresh install
k2
akeeba backup

it is on a demo server with domain /~username
it is not attached on a domain yet
maybe this is the problem??

please advise
